125th ANNIVERSARY OF THE COMING OF THE RAILWAY TO GERRINGONG A celebratioon was held at 2.45pm on SATURDAY 2nd JUNE, 2018 for “living history” talks, displays and tours at the Gerringong Railway Station - and the new Distillery in the old Dairy Co-op/Butter Factory.
Also many joined us for a train journey to Berry on the 12.02pm train, talks by Berry Historical Society at Berry Station, lunch at a local cafe and return to Gerringong on the 2.38 train.
On Saturday 15 September 2018, from 1 pm to 4 pm, Gerringong & District Historical Society hosted an open house at Ivy Mount Gerringong. 187 adults, plus children, attended.
Tours conducted by owners Wesley and Vicki Hindmarsh and family revealed beautiful original cedar doors, detailing and furniture. Visitors also saw the old stone kitchen wall and the charming cream shed. Entry of $10 included a sumptuous afternoon tea.
